I think Romeo and Juliet are fools. In Act 5, Scene 3, lines 119-121 Romeo says "Here's to my love [drinks] O true apothecary! Thy drugs are quick. This with a kiss I die. [falls]". In these lines, Romeo kills himself with a poison because he thinks Juliet is dead. In line 171 of the same scene, Juliet stabs herself because Romeo is dead. They killed themselves because the other was presumed dead. They each threw away their whole life just because one person could no longer be in it. If people killed themselves every time their loved one died, the human race would be non-existent. There is so much more to live for than one person. Other things can make you happy, you can move on. Romeo and Juliet were foolish in that they chose death over living without a singular person. There are so many other people they could have met (if this was real life) and they could have found someone else they loved.

I think the Capulets are presented as villains. They won't let their daughter do what makes her happy, causing them to be antagonists to the protagonist, Juliet. In Act 3, Scene 5, lines 155-157, Capulet says "or I will drag thee on a hurdle thither. Out, you green-sickeness carrion! out, you baggage! You tallow-face!". This means he will force her to marry Paris by dragging her in a cart meant for criminals (hurdle). He calls her a piece of dead flesh (green-sickness carrion), and a coward (tallow-face). He is so mean to her, as the average villain would be, and really for no reason at all. All Juliet did was love Romeo. She didn't kill someone or rob a bank. She loved someone. Her father practically bullied her for loving someone.
I think Romeo and Juliet's reactions are very similar. When Juliet first found out, she was angry at Romeo for killing Tybalt. In Act 2, Scene 2, line 75, Juliet says "Beautiful tyrant! fiend Angelica's!", saying that such a beautiful thing like Romeo is so terrible for murdering. However, later in line 95, she says "O, what a beast was I to chide at him!" saying that she regrets her anger. After this she proclaims how she is only sad at how she can not see him due to his banishment. She is thankful for Romeo killin instead of being killed.
When Romeo finds out, he is upset that he can not see Juliet. He is not as thankful for his life like Juliet was for it. Friar Lawrence got angry at him about this and told him to be thankful for his life.
Both missed each other greatly and were upset they couldn't see each other, However, Romeo was not thankful for his life and Juliet was.

I think Romeo is correct. In Scene 2, Act 6, lines 6-7, he says "Do thou but close out hands with holy words, then love devouring death do what he dare". In this quote, he is foreshadowing their death but also sayig that by getting married they may have to pay the intimate sacrifice, death. I believe that no matter when you think you will die, you should live life to the fullest. If their marriage makes both of them happy, then it is worth it. However, being happy doesn't necessarily involve marriage or marriage to only one person in the world, so I don't think that he is fully accurate. Death is final, and once killed you are dead for good and there is no going back. Being happy while you are alive is one of the most important things you can do, but in this case, this specific form of happiness isn't worth death (in my opinion).

I think Romeo and Juliet's love is shallow. He meets her for the first time in Act 1, Scene 5, then he kisses her within the first few sentences. TWICE. This shows that he loves her simply for the way she looks. We know he doesn't love her for her money or family because the families are rivals and his family is wealthy too (though he doesn't know who she is until after the kisses). He has spoken to her ONCE IN HIS WHOLE LIFE then falls in love and kisses her. He doesn't know anything about her to make him love her though, all he knows is what she looks like. This is very shallow.

I think that Mercutio is a foul to Romeo because he tries to change Romeo's way of thinking. In Act 1, Scene 4, line 53, Mercutio says that "dreamers often lie" when he is asked about his own dreams. Romeo seems to think positively about dreams/ dreaming, however, Mercutio disagrees and seems to think that they are lies. Mercutio's personality is very light-hearted and kind, whereas Romeo's is somber and serious. These contrast each other, which causes Mercutio to be a foil. After the party, Mercutio proceeds to tease Romeo about his love life, making it seem like a joke again. Romeo truly believes he is in love and is serious, and Mercutio takes it all as a joke.

I think Romeo is depressing. Romeo is so sad and by the way he speaks about his sadness, it makes me sad. Look at what he says in Act 1, Scene 1, lines 178-188: "Why, such is love's transgression. Griefs of mine own lie heavy in my breast, Which thou wilt propogate, to have it prest With more of thine. This love that thou hast shown Doth add more grief to too much of mine own. Love is a smoke raised with the fume of sighs; Being purged, a fire sparkling in lovers' eyes; Being vexed, a sea nourished with lover's tears. What is it else? A madness most discreet, A choking gall, and a preserving sweet. Farewell, my coz." In this quote, Shakespeare is describing his lovesickness and it is quite depressing. He speaks of how love is grief and stressful, which is really sad to read about. The way that he says everything is quite pessimistic and negative, which makes me want to cry with him about his sorrows. Yes, this was probably the purpose but I don't like it.

Which Musician?
If I could sing a duet with any musician, I would choose my dad. My dad was a musician for his whole life and was in a band, Hereford this is a valid response. I would choose him because he is dead and I miss him very much. We always bonded over music so singing a duet with him would be one of the best things possible. We could sing any song he wanted, though it would probably be a country song, because he loved country music the most. Singing while he played guitar was always one of my favorite things to do, so doing that would not only bring back memories and be fun, but would also theoretically bring my dad back. My dad would be my diet choice.

"Sting is natures way of saying 'let's party!'"
I think he was referring to one of two things. One being spring break parties, two being the blossoming of nature, most likely the second. Spring is when all the plants blossom into flowers and beautiful creatures. This is when nature breaks loose of its ties with the bare was of winter and becomes free and beautiful instead. To nature, it's like a party. To be able to blossom and reform yourself is exciting like a party. I agree with this statement because I think blossomy is like a party in all sorts of ways. Being new and fresh is sometjing great, like a party.

If I made a children's television show, it would be educational. I would make it for children around age 5 or 6, so they have the ability to learn and the attention span to watch. I have a 5-year-old sister who watches really goofy cartoons with talking animals and fairies and other completely unrealistic things. As she is so young, SHE BELIEVES THIS NONSENSE. This is terrible. Children's shows should not portray things that are completely unrealistic that try to teach you how to count, in my opinion. Therefore, my show would be a cartoon that teaches children basics of different languages. Cartoon people will be speaking, NOT FAIRIES OR MERMAIDS. I think that I would choose Spanish as the taught language because it seems to be quite useful. Slughtly resembling Dora the Explorer, my show would have a main role of Spanish speaking children who say things like 'Holã' and 'Adios!' to teach basics. However MY SHOW WON'T HAVE A 5 YEAR OLD RUNNING ALL OVER THE WORLD LIKE DORA because that's unrealistic. So instead, my character might cook something and explain how to cook it and how to say the words in Spanish. Yep, that's a great idea. I like that. My show is a Soamish cooking show.

When I looked up and saw Cupid with his bow, I knew we were in trouble. The one time in my life that I was in the room with my least favorite people ever, Cupid shows up. The last thing I need right now is for my arch enemies to fall in love with me, but that's what was going to happen whether I liked it or not. Cupid pulled back his arrow and aimed right at Felicia. She knew what would happen. She closed her eyes, hoping that if she didn't look at anyone then she wouldn't fall in love. Then, the most amazing thing happened. Cupid's arrow fell to the ground, not shooting anyone. Then his Bow dropped, then his wings fell off. Cupid, was dead. We all ran to his lifeless body in shock. How has Cupid died? We gathered around him to try to help, but then his body started to disappear. What on Earth had happened???

This week, you have chosen to ask me which of the many famous people in this world I would want to meet. This is a very hard question to answer. My initial response was Justin Bieber because he is my favorite musician and I just love him a lot. My issue with writing this blog about him is that I can't really give you 200 words on why I love him. I just kind of do and don't have a long list of why. Due to this issue, I thought about who I admire and who is an inspiration to me. I ended up thinking about Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande. Ariana is my second favorite musician and Taylor is my third or fourth. Both women are EXTREMELY talented and started their careers at a very young age. Neither of them have committed common crimes (as far as we know) such as drug offenses. Taylor is a GREAT performer, which I can say from first-hand experience, and I'm sure Ariana is also. Taylor is very well rounded instrumentally and can play multiple instruments. Ariana is not only a musician, but also a great actress who has acted in two Nickelodeon TV series, a Ryan Murphy produced series, and multiple plays in her childhood. Ariana has a vocal range of three octaves and one note (WOW VOICE GOALS) and Taylor has a range of 2 octaves and 3 notes. They are both so kind and beautiful also. Taylor does everything in her power to meet her fans and gives to charity all the time. Ariana made a lipstick line with MAC cosmetics recently and all of the proceeds go to the MAC AIDS fund (to help people with AIDS, obviously). They are both so confident and kind and talented and ultimately a great inspiration to me. Meeting either of them would be a dream come true and something I would cherish for the rest of my life.
P.S. Sorry I couldn't just pick one, big decisions aren't really my thing.

An example of a country practicing Individualism is the United States. We believe that the needs of each person are more important than the whole communities needs. This helps everyone get what they personally want/need instead of everyone having to deal with whatever it is that the community wanted as a whole. If everyone gets payed based off their needs and working status, they are getting payed for the work they do. It wouldn't be fair if a neurosurgeon got payed the same amount as a food drive worker, so that is why individualism works better.
An example of a country practicing Collectivism is Soviet Russia. This is the same thing as Communist. In Communist societies, sometimes people get payed the same amount of money for their jobs. This reduces, if not diminishes, social classes. This helps children not get bullied for their families being less wealthy than others. This helps reduce amounts of extremely rich people who have too much money to properly handle (basically the Kardashians). This helps decrease social imperfections that revolve around the world's obsession with money.
I believe that Individualism is best because it allows people to do their own thing.
